Terms of Service

Last updated: September 10, 2026

1. Introduction & Overview

Welcome to LNQ Teams. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the LNQ Teams platform, including our website, team creation tools, open role directories, application management, invitation workflows, and related collaborative services.

Please read these Terms thoroughly before creating an account or utilizing any part of the service. By accessing the platform or registering an account, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to be legally bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must refrain from using the platform.

2. Eligibility & Account Registration

To use LNQ Teams and create an account, you must possess the full legal capacity to enter into binding agreements under applicable laws of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. When registering, you affirm and warrant that:

  • All information you provide (including your name, email address, academic credentials, and professional background) is accurate, current, truthful, and belongs to you.
  • You will maintain and promptly update your profile information to ensure it remains accurate and truthful.
  • You will not misrepresent your identity or impersonate any other individual or entity without authorization.
  • Your account has not previously been suspended or permanently restricted by our platform administrators for violations of our standards.

3. Account Security & Credentials

You are exclusively responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and password, as well as for all actions and activities performed under your account. To maintain integrity:

  • Passwords are stored using industry-standard, secure one-way cryptographic hashing through Laravel's authentication system. Platform personnel cannot view or retrieve your plaintext password.
  • You must not share your account credentials with third parties or allow unauthorized individuals to access your account.
  • You must immediately notify platform support at lnq@wesalclub.com if you discover or suspect any unauthorized access or security breach.

4. LNQ Teams Service Description & Scope

LNQ Teams is a collaborative platform designed to empower individuals, students, founders, and innovators to discover, form, and assemble project teams. Core functionality includes:

  • Creating team workspaces with defined objectives, industry categories, and member capacity limits.
  • Publishing Open Roles with tailored skill requirements and capacity thresholds.
  • Configuring custom role application questions to evaluate applicant suitability.
  • Browsing and discovering open teams and submitting applications with personal statements and responses.
  • Issuing direct member invitations and managing secure, single-use invite codes.
  • Reviewing candidate applications with accepted/rejected workflows and private post-acceptance onboarding messages.
Scope Limitation: LNQ Teams is not an employment agency, payroll processor, escrow service, or instant messaging application. The platform's scope is strictly focused on initial collaborative team formation and role matching.

5. Team Creation & Open Roles

When creating a team, the creating user becomes the Team Owner. Team Owners and designated administrators agree to:

  • Provide truthful, non-misleading descriptions of the project, scope, and open positions.
  • Avoid posting fictitious teams, speculative marketing schemes, or multi-level recruitment listings.
  • Respect platform technical limits regarding role capacity, member counts, and team quotas.

6. Custom Role Application Questions

Team Owners may formulate custom questions (text, long-form responses, selections, or checkboxes) specific to an Open Role to evaluate candidates:

  • Questions must directly relate to relevant technical, academic, or professional criteria needed for the role.
  • Team Owners are strictly prohibited from requesting sensitive personal data, such as national ID numbers, banking details, passwords, or intrusive personal information.
  • Applicant responses are preserved in applicant records and made accessible exclusively to authorized team reviewers.

7. Applications & Review Workflow

When submitting an application for an Open Role, candidates affirm that all submissions and motivation notes represent their authentic credentials. Applications transition through standard status states (Pending, In Review, Accepted, Rejected). LNQ Teams does not guarantee that any application will be accepted; selection decisions remain entirely within the discretion of the Team Owner.

8. Invitations & Membership Acceptance

Teams may extend direct invitations to users via verified email or secure secret invite tokens. Membership joins are strictly bound by team capacity caps. Users must not redistribute, sell, or exploit invite tokens outside their designated collaborative purpose.

9. Private Acceptance Messages & External Links

Team Owners may specify a private acceptance message visible exclusively to candidates who are accepted into the team. This message may include external communication links (e.g., LinkedIn, WhatsApp, or communication servers):

  • Acceptance messages and onboard links are confidential to the active membership of the team.
  • Third-party platforms operate under their own independent terms and privacy rules; LNQ Teams exercises no control over third-party software.
  • Users are advised to exercise personal judgment and prudence before sharing additional personal contact details outside LNQ Teams.

10. No Employment or Partnership Guarantee

Crucial Disclaimer:

The publication of any team, open role, or the acceptance of any application on LNQ Teams does not constitute a formal employment offer, labor contract, legal partnership, agency, or fiduciary relationship. LNQ Teams serves as a discovery and matching platform for collaborative teams, hackathons, academic endeavors, and independent projects. Any subsequent contractual arrangements are undertaken at the sole risk and discretion of the participating parties.

11. User Responsibility & Conduct

All users agree to conduct themselves constructively, ethically, and in accordance with Saudi legal regulations and public order. Users retain sole responsibility for:

  • The truthfulness and lawful ownership of all materials uploaded or linked in their profiles.
  • Respecting intellectual property and privacy rights of team members and applicants.
  • Interacting professionally with candidates, team owners, and administrative staff.

12. Prohibited Activities & Misuse

You agree not to engage in any prohibited conduct, including but not limited to:

  • Fraud, phishing, scam listings, or collecting user personal information for unauthorized commercial exploitation.
  • Harassment, abusive communication, defamatory remarks, or posting content contrary to public morality or religious standards.
  • Attempting to breach, probe, circumvent access controls, inject malicious scripts, or launch denial-of-service attacks against the infrastructure.
  • Deploying automated scraping bots, crawlers, or harvesting tools to extract platform data without express written permission.
  • Submitting false or bad-faith moderation reports to harass other users or competitors.

13. Notifications & System Communications

LNQ Teams delivers transactional notifications both in-app and via verified SMTP email regarding team applications, invitation codes, moderation notices, and system alerts. You may configure your notification preferences through your account settings, with the exception of mandatory security notices and account status advisories.

14. Content Reporting, Moderation & Suspensions

To preserve community safety, LNQ Teams maintains structured reporting and moderation systems:

  • Users may submit formal reports detailing violations regarding teams, roles, or members.
  • Trained moderators evaluate evidence snapshots, moderation logs, and contextual data.
  • The platform reserves the right to issue formal warnings, enforce feature restrictions (e.g., barring new team creation or applications), or temporarily or permanently suspend offending accounts.

15. Content Removal, Soft Deletion & Trash

The platform employs controlled soft deletion architectures to protect against accidental data loss and maintain required moderation auditability:

  • Soft-deleted items are immediately hidden from public directories, search queries, and team listings.
  • Eligible content may be reviewed or restored from trash by authorized owners or administrators within defined retention intervals.
  • Permanent destruction is executed upon expiration of retention periods in compliance with security and privacy requirements.

16. Intellectual Property & Content Rights

User Content: You retain ownership of any proprietary intellectual property you upload to LNQ Teams. By publishing content on the platform, you grant LNQ Teams a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide license to host, display, and process your content strictly for the technical operation and provision of the service.

Platform Materials: The LNQ Teams brand mark, graphic identity, user interface components, software codebase, and system architecture are protected intellectual property of LNQ Teams and its creators.

17. Service Availability & Limitation of Liability

LNQ Teams is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis without warranties of any kind. While we strive to maintain robust uptime and security, we do not warrant that service will be uninterrupted or error-free. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, LNQ Teams and its developers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from platform use or off-platform interactions.

18. Termination & Account Deletion

You may terminate your account at any time via the profile settings. LNQ Teams reserves the right to terminate or suspend access for users who breach these Terms. Certain administrative and security audit logs may be retained following account deletion where necessary to satisfy legal and compliance requirements.

19. Governing Law (Kingdom of Saudi Arabia)

These Terms shall be governed by, construed, and enforced in accordance with the laws and regulations of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms or the platform shall be subject to the competent judicial authorities within the Kingdom.
